This post is a do-it-yourself effort to get me to really eat smarter carbs (the ones that have real benefits) and also to get me to eat fewer carbs (the ones that just make me gain weight, or just make me feel bloated) while still sticking to the Whole30. There are three levels of self-awareness that I am working on — the external, the internal, and the total awareness — and I am starting them out together.
The external awareness is to understand that a “carb” is a carbohydrate. Sure, some carbs are a bit harder on the body than others, but in general carb diets only work if you eat the right ones.

I’ve never eaten a whole30 diet. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to, but this is a great way to get in shape, no matter what. It involves eating everything in moderation, which is important to me. To be fair, there are no rules about what you’re supposed to eat. But it’s a great way to try to get rid of cravings.
