Pre-operative diets are a great way to lose weight and get your life back in order. Many people use pre-operative diets to lose a few pounds, then have a surgery to correct any medical issues. And, before you know it, you have gained the weight back, but you are much healthier.

The truth is that no one can know just how effective drugs like keto are going to be for someone after the surgery. Just like with surgery, a lot of the information we get from people who try to make a pre-op diet work are made up. They only see what they want to see and the reality is that you wont lose much weight with this type of diet.
There are various other types of surgery that can be done to an already-healthy stomach. In the case of bariatric surgery, the stomach is cut off and replaced with a different one. For weight-loss surgery, the stomach is cut and the abdominal wall is built in. For weight-gain surgery, the stomach is cut and the abdominal wall is built out. These types of surgeries cause weight gain in people who don’t exercise enough.
So if you do want to lose a bit of weight, you might want to consider surgery.
It’s not like that, people. You could be perfectly healthy and even have all of these surgeries and still be within healthy guidelines. That’s why we don’t recommend it. If you really want to lose weight, we recommend weight-loss surgery or some other procedure that changes your metabolism. When you’re at your healthy weight, you don’t need surgery for weight loss anyway.
