I’ve been training for my half marathon this weekend and I’m finally finding my way to eating real food. This past weekend I decided to take the half marathon off of my to-do list because I was so hungry and my body was so tired.
This was a decision I made without even reading up on nutrition for the event. I ate a lot of fruit and veggies and drank lots of water before the race and I was definitely at my pre-race water breaking point by the end of the race. I was also dehydrated and not getting enough water from the water stations. On top of all that, I was still trying to lose weight at this point (around 220 pounds) and I was eating a lot of sugar.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on what works for me for quite a while, and in my opinion, you should eat a healthy balanced diet that includes plenty of vegetables and fruit. What works for me is to go to the gym at least three days a week, eat a healthy balanced diet that includes plenty of veggies and fruit, and drink water.
While I think for a lot of people, this diet may not be enough, I definitely think it’s a good start. With that said, I’m going to share the one time I did it, and I’m going to share my experience because it could really help people. I was doing a half marathon (I was training for a half marathon) in December of 2013.
The game’s title is “Game of Thrones.” It was a fun, entertaining game. I’m a bit of a nerd, so I’m a bit of a fan.
I ran the half marathon in December of 2013. For the first few days, I didn’t eat anything. I was staying at a hotel and was eating nothing, except water. I was going to a friend’s house, so I just put my food in the fridge, and put it in the freezer. I came back the next day and ate a lot of veggies. I also used an app called the Fuel app which sent me a text message every couple of hours at 10 PM.
A lot of people will say, “Well, don’t stress out.” This is a little bit of a cop out because it doesn’t really help that there’s a lot of stress. It can also be a little bit misleading. Yes, it may sound better that you have a nice dinner, but if all you’re doing is eating, it won’t be as effective.
Another way to look at this is that it may actually be beneficial for you to be making conscious choices about what you eat. For example, you do not have to consume all the food your body requires to run a marathon. However, as you eat more and more of the food that your body needs, your body starts to burn fat instead of carbohydrates and you start running faster. The key is to eat enough of the foods that your body needs to carry you through the race.
It isn’t just about eating enough calories to allow you to run a decent distance. One of the other benefits of eating right is that your body burns glucose and builds muscle. This is why many endurance athletes choose to eat protein before, during, and after exercise. This is also why you should not eat a big meal right before an exercise session.
So the key that you must master is to eat enough calories to allow you to run a decent distance. I know this because you can burn up to 500 calories while running so its easy to see how the calorie count can be a big factor in your training. However, you should also eat enough carbohydrates to allow your body to build muscles. This is why I recommend you to eat carbs and proteins before, during, and after a workout.
